OUR STORY…..

The story of our charity events is turning the what happened into positive and telling our story in Michelle's name, giving back to the community who were all affected, creating memories and spreading love for the community as the event affected everyone. Most of all, giving back to the NHS/hospital staff at the Intensive Care Units at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital & Salford Royal who treated and took care of the victims. We aim to improve facilities for patients, family & friends and also contribute too much needed ICU Equipment which help save & improve patients lives. Through the tough times for us both, we both needed an escape from what was happening, so Dylan took up golf and Sammy as a golf professional taught Dylan (also self taught himself) and Golf was our time to spend together away from the outside world and have a few beers afterwards. This was our time to talk, see how each of us are feeling and clear our heads. Golf really helped Dylan & Sammy and gave us that release from the outside world. After one of our rounds of golf Dylan had the idea of organising a Charity Golf Day in memory of his mum and raising money for those affected. Manchester Royal, Wythenshawe Hospital & Salford Royal together saw around 20-60 people in Intensive Care Units & patients were still in ICU months afterwards, therefore we decided to raise money for the ICU units at the three hospital affected on the night, the supported Charity's are - North Care Charity - Salford Hospital - MFT Manchester Foundation Charity - Manchester Royal Infirmary & Wythenshawe Hospital. Our events are organised & created solely by Sammy & Dylan, with no help from any other organisers, just 2 young lads who came up with the idea over a beer, making a difference - 3 events later & over £30,000 raised we continu with bigger & better events. The definition of our charity work is describing how golf helped both of the lads, especially Dylan through the though times and giving something back to the incredible Intensive Care Units at our chosen hospitals so they can carry on saving & improving lives all in a special.

OUR EVENT….

After the success of our past 3 One Love Charity Golf Day's Myself & Dylan Kiss have decided to this year host a Charity Football Match of course called One Love Charity Football Match.

Our One Love Charity Football Match is our 4th annual charity day organised by Sam Geddes (24) & Dylan Kiss (25), in aid of the Manchester Arena Attack back in May 2017 raising money for the Intensive Care Units involved on that night, Wythenshawe, Salford & Manchester Royal Hospitals in Loving memory of Dylan's Mum Michelle Kiss.

Our past events have been Charity Golf Days in 2018, 2019 & 2021 which were very successful raising over £30,000 for the ICU @ Manchester Royal Infirmary, Salford Hospital & Wythenshawe Hospital helping purchase new equipment & improve conditions for both patients, family & friends.

We have hosted 100s of people in the golf days for the three years & featured on numerous TV, Radio channels & Articles.

We will hopefully have some coverage for the day!

The main event of the day will be the charity football match in which teams will be TEAM GEDDES VS TEAM KISS. Sammy & Dylan will organise and their own separate 13/15 man teams together with a manager to compete against each other on the day.

The teams will be made up of a high level of football players including semiprofessionals & professionals.

The match will take place on the August bank holiday, Sunday 28th August 2022 with KO at 2pm @ Shaw Bridge, Clitheroe FC.

There will be a after party at around 6pm which will be in the clubhouse at Shaw Bridge including some speeches, auction & raffle to top off a great day & raise as much money possible for a cause very close to our hearts.
